Kerry, Clare and Galway · Several days
Ring of Kerry and West of Ireland private tour
A private multi-day tour of the west from Shannon or Dublin Airport: the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, the Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Connemara.
Land at Shannon or Dublin Airport and your chauffeur is waiting in arrivals. From there the west of Ireland unfolds at your pace: the mountains and lakes of the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren, Galway city and the wild beauty of Connemara, with the same chauffeur and the same car from the first day to the last.
This is the classic private tour of Ireland's west, and it's best enjoyed slowly. We plan the order around your flights and the hotels you choose: fly into Shannon and you can be in Killarney in about two hours, or land in Dublin and we'll head west through the middle of the country.
Driving the Ring of Kerry yourself means keeping your eyes on a narrow road while everyone else gets the view. With your own chauffeur, the bends, the coaches and the long drives between counties are our job, and the mountains, the sea and the villages are yours.
How it comes together
- 01 Collection at Shannon Airport or Dublin Airport, with your chauffeur waiting in arrivals.
- 02 Killarney and the Ring of Kerry: Ladies View, the mountain passes and the coastal villages, away from the coach traffic where we can.
- 03 The Dingle Peninsula and the Slea Head Drive, with its beaches, islands and colourful harbour town.
- 04 The Cliffs of Moher and Burren National Park in County Clare.
- 05 Galway city, for music, cafés and an evening in the pubs.
- 06 Connemara's mountains, lakes and Atlantic coast, with Kylemore Abbey on the way.
- 07 Back to Shannon or Dublin Airport for your flight home, or on to your next stop.
Good to know
How many days do we need for the Ring of Kerry and the west of Ireland?
Allow at least five days to see Kerry, Dingle, the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara without rushing. A week gives you time to linger, and we can shorten or stretch the route to suit your plans.
Can you collect us from Shannon or Dublin Airport?
Yes. Your chauffeur meets you in arrivals at Shannon or Dublin Airport and brings you back for your flight home. We also collect from Cork, Belfast and Knock airports.
How far is Killarney from Shannon and Dublin Airport?
About two hours by car from Shannon Airport and about three and a half from Dublin Airport. That's why many guests fly into Shannon and start the tour in Kerry.
How long does the Ring of Kerry take?
A full day. The loop itself is around 180 kilometres, and with stops at the best viewpoints and villages most guests are out for seven to nine hours.
Can we do just the Ring of Kerry?
Yes. If you're already staying in Killarney, we can drive the Ring of Kerry with you as a single day.
Where do we stay?
Wherever you like. You choose the hotels, and we plan each day's driving around them.
